I have uncoiled my first leg of extension cord and launched the first WAP BOUY in the surf at Ocean Beach. The friggin droids in outer richmond don't have any WAPs I can reach, so, anyways, I am off to Hawaii!

The toilet is not handling very well. But I've discovered that it's ever so handy when I get seasick!

Will try to get my GPS receiver working and provide co-ordinates later.

Here comes the Golden Gate! I've almost made it to the bridge. Still able to use open WAPs. Didn't sleep well last night, but I had the weirdest dream. I was standing on an open plain, with only the flat yellow earth all around out to the horizon. That's it. I wonder what it means?

Paddling like mad. Went backwards for a few hours while the tide was coming in.

Oh for the open main! Batten up the mainsail! Brace the halyards and strap down the bobstays! Here we go!

I have set out from the Ferry Terminal, paddling like mad. I've almost made it up to Pier 39. I am saving my WiFi bouys for later, as I am still able to post using open WAPs onshore. Someone on Calhoun Terrace has one. CALHOUNTERRACE. Anyways, I am posting from my toilet, the HMS Salle Du Bains. All well so far, swells under control.

I need to raise enough money for extension cords and some sort of inflatable widget, and a bunch of WAPs. I plan to great a wireless "pontoon bridge" from San Francisco to Hawaii, so I can post about my progress, post pictures and so forth.

Come on, people! Pony up for this great venture!

I'll also need an iPod and some sort of sleek digital camera. I'm thinking whatever the latest Elph. I guess they're called Powershots now. S500! Does anyone know where I can get a chrome iPod? I need my accessories to match on this historic journey.

So I was thinking about <boring thing> when it occurred to me that <other boring thing> which led to <most boring thought ever>. I guess that's just the way my mind works! <inane textual convention for giggling>

ANYWAYS. The whole point of the first bit of quiet time was to sort out my feelings about <first boring thing, see above> and I feel like I got some sort of resolution. I guess when I figured out that <something completely irrelevant to first boring thing> things just sort of clicked together for me. <different inane textual convention for giggling>

The best thing about <stupid acronym or something for livejournal or blogs or something> is that by posting here I can <dumb way to say 'remember stuff'> and that helps me hold on to my <oblique reference to sanity, extra points for making it clear that everyone except me knows I don't have enough brainpower to sustain 'sanity' per se>
